About Stephanie
WHO WE ARE:
As the Founder/Lead Trainer for Blazing Cloud Consulting, LLC, Stephanie Salazar-Rodriguez works to improve public health outcomes and educational attainment for Colorado residents.

Stephanie is a second generation native Denverite from a mixed Latino and Native American (Taos Pueblo) familial background and is bilingual.
She possesses over 25 years’ experience working in high needs and under-resourced communities to effectively address social and economic barriers to health, education, and health equity.
She also has extensive experience in grant writing/grant reviewing, and capacity building, to address diversity, inclusion, implicit bias, and cultural sensitivity.
With over 20 years’ experience working as an Independent Consultant, Stephanie has worked to address emerging public health issues, including the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on communities of color, implicit bias, health equity, diversity and inclusion, behavioral health integration into primary care, women’s reproductive health, and capacity building, at various organizations throughout Colorado and the surrounding states.
What’s in a name?
Stephanie was bestowed the name ”Blazing Cloud Woman,” by indigenous warrior women. This is the genesis for the name, Blazing Cloud Consulting.

Stephanie is active in the local community to promote authentic community engagement, patient participatory research and equity in public health. Her commitment is demonstrated through work on various community advisory panels and committees, the CU Cancer Center, Community Advisory Council, Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger, Governing Council, Colorado Public Health Association-Health Equity Committee, DPD, District 4, Community Based Crime Reduction. She has also served as a conference and summit presenter and an academic guest lecturer.

Catherine Alire

Catherine Alire is a second generation native of Denver, who possesses an MPA, with an emphasis in domestic violence. She is the owner of Healing Lives through Healing Hearts Counseling Services. She possesses over 25 years’ experience providing domestic violence and addictions counseling, and over 20 years’ of community engagement experience working in the Indigenous, Native American, and Latino communities. She also works very closely with the LGBTQI+ communities in the Denver metro area and has extensive experience with overdose prevention and education, including distribution of Narcan and fentanyl testing strips.

Paige Backlund Jarquin, DrPH is the founder of The Center for Authentic Community Engagement. A change agent, bridge builder, and master facilitator, she has over 20 years of experience working in, with, and for communities in locations around the world. Her greatest passion is to support individuals and groups that are working at the forefront of social change. Paige knows that thriving communities are lifted by inclusivity, thrive on diversity, are sustained on justice and equality, and require equity. Her love of community is the reason Paige centers everything she does on these core understandings.

Cheryl L. Lucero is the Owner of Key Strategies For Business Success, LLC (since 1997). She custom-designs and delivers quality, education-based small business training programs, consulting and coaching/mentoring, and promotional marketing services for Colorado adults and inner-city youth.
